A335 P91 is a mixture of molybdenum (9%) and chromium (1%). Chromium enhances the temperature strength and increases oxidation resistance of material P91. Molybdenum increases creep resistance strength material SA335p91. The presence of manganese and nickel in smaller proportion increases harden-ability of material ASTM A335P91. P91 welding molybdenum-chromium steel is an important material used in power plants. A335P91 is formed through normalizing at temperature 1050 Deg C air cooling down to temperature 200 Deg C. Then it is tempered through heating at a temperature ranging 760 Deg C.
For enhancing the mechanical properties of A691 GR91 steel is alloyed with the ranges of elements in the proportion of 1.0%-50% by weight for producing alloy steel. Alloy steel addition to carbon contains a substantial amount of elements including molybdenum, nickel, tungsten, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, silicon and phosphorus. Addition of those complements steel with increased strength, hardness and resistance to the chemical.
The product testing of alloy steel seamless and EFW pipes are done carefully to check the product strength and quality. Few tests done is hardness test, mechanical-chemical test, macro test, micro test, flaring test, flattening test, pitting resistance, PMI test, and IGC test.
